Role Overview

As the Senior Engineering Manager, AI in the Artificial Intelligence group, you will lead the development of core AI/ML capabilities to enhance Splunk's product portfolio. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior members, and shape the scientific roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strategy and roadmap for AI/ML integration across products.
• Lead the creation of AI/ML models for cybersecurity and observability use cases.
• Partner with product leads to align on vision and scientific planning.
• Stay updated with AI/ML research and incorporate advancements into the technology roadmap.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Establish accountability structures for progress, learning, communication, and business objectives.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Deep expertise and proven experience in AI/ML, including deep learning, time series, NLP, and unsupervised learning.
• Experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Leadership experience managing applied scientists and engineers in machine learning.
• Proven ability to develop and deploy large-scale models in production.
• Strategic thinking in innovation at technical and organizational levels.
• Understanding of architectural patterns for large, high-scale applications.
• Industry experience in Cybersecurity and/or Observability is preferred.
