Job summary

Coram AI in Sunnyvale is seeking an engineering leader to head our California-based team. You will shape strategy for the edge AI platform, cloud infrastructure, and customer‑facing engineering, staying close to code through architecture, reviews, and debugging.

This role requires a Staff or senior IC background with proven management experience, plus strong hiring credentials and deep knowledge in distributed/real-time systems, robotics/AI, or HPC.

Qualifications

• Staff level and senior IC background with management experience.
• Experience leading engineers (Tech Lead Manager or Engineering Manager).
• Strong depth in distributed/real-time systems (e.g. C++), robotics/AI, or HPC.
• Exposure to large 50–100+ person engineering cultures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the California engineering team in Sunnyvale, owning critical parts of the edge AI platform and cloud infrastructure.
• Be hands-on with architecture, code review, and debugging, while growing the team 2–3x.
• Collaborate closely with CTO, CEO, and Product to shape direction and execution.
