Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an engineering leader to own the Salesforce Management Plane (SFMP), a safe-change framework enabling Day 2 operations via REST APIs with guardrails, approvals, and auditability. You will lead a distributed team of eight engineers, focusing on security, observability, and compliant, scalable production tooling.

You’ll partner with Product to shape the SFMP roadmap, champion hybrid AI-human development, and drive adoption of least-privilege practices across the fleet,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering management experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Proven track record leading platform, infrastructure, or developer-tools teams with end-to-end ownership.
• Strong technical grounding in production operations, REST API platforms, and security and access control, including RBAC and least-privilege principles.

Responsibilities

• Champion AI-driven development practices and agentic workflows, helping engineers multiply velocity through hybrid human-AI development.
• Partner with Product to drive the SFMP roadmap, including auto-discovery of service instances and central invocation engine.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed team of eight engineers.
• Champion observability, incident response, and compliance rigor, tracking metrics for adoption and system reliability.
