Quicken Inc is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to advance back-end AI services powering Quicken products. Youll design cloud-based AI infrastructure, build tool-calling, and MCP services, and integrate LLM-powered features with strong emphasis on security and latency.

Bring 8+ years in software engineering, 5+ years in Java/Kotlin with Spring and AWS, and 3+ years of microservices. Youll mentor peers and work with cross-functional teams across web, mobile, and desktop platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering, SaaS/PaaS products.
• 5+ years Java or Kotlin with Spring and AWS.
• 3+ years microservices with REST/JSON.
• Experience with JVM reactive tech and streaming responses.
• Hands-on with LLM-backed product features and tool calling.
• Strong focus on privacy, security, and data handling.

Responsibilities

• Deliver scalable, production-ready backend in Kotlin/Java.
• Build APIs for AI features across web, mobile, desktop.
• Develop tool-calling and MCP services for multi-step workflows.
