Job summary

Twilio seeks a Senior Engineering Manager in Compliance Experiences to lead the Know Your Customer (KYC) engineering team. You will own people strategy, delivery, and stakeholder relationships for a high-volume platform that serves external customers and internal teams.

You will champion AI-driven development, build a culture of psychological safety, and balance external commitments with platform and tooling investments, guiding a team that ships reliable, compliant APIs and services at scale.

Qualifications

15+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5+ years in engineering management.
Leading a team of 10+ engineers and direct management of individual contributors.
Strong hands-on background in designing and operating highly available, cloud-native distributed systems.

Responsibilities

Own the delivery roadmap for the Compliance Domain, including customer-facing services, internal APIs, and Ops Tooling.
Drive AI tooling adoption and measure impact on velocity and quality.
Take full accountability for operational excellence, reliability, security, and incident response.
Collaborate with Product Management to ensure compliant, developer-friendly workflows for external and internal customers.
Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing engineering team with a focus on psychological safety and growth.
