You will drive architecture decisions, align engineering work with product goals, and mentor engineers to deliver reliable, scalable software. You will collaborate with product owners and stakeholders across the organization, balancing delivery speed with quality and security.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive industry experience with 3+ years directly managing software engineering teams.
• Deep technical background in scalable, highly available platform development focusing on Java/JVM and cloud architecture.
• Experience leading teams with a major public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) and Kubernetes with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
• Proven track record delivering end-to-end service ownership, reliability, and automation.
• Experience guiding cross-functional stakeholders within a matrixed org and driving strategic initiatives.
• Open-source technology experience and a commitment to secure, high-quality code.
• Strong Agile/Scrum foundation with emphasis on secure coding practices.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/Engineering, with equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Foresee and resolve systemic issues before they impact the product.
• Advocate technical excellence and guide teams toward high-quality engineering practices.

• Participate in hiring and interviews to grow a high-performance engineering culture.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to align engineering with product priorities and manage tradeoffs.
• Contribute to hands-on technical tasks when needed to maintain expertise and support.
• Ensure teams have clear priorities and adequate resources to deliver outcomes.
• Make data-driven decisions that impact product success and reliability.
