Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive industry experience, including 3+ years directly managing and mentoring software engineering teams
• Deep technical background in scalable, highly available platform development with a focus on Java/JVM and modern cloud architecture
• Leading teams and hands-on experience with a major public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) plus Kubernetes and Terraform
• End-to-end service ownership experience with reliable, self-healing services and strong automation

Responsibilities

• Participate in and lead critical architecture discussions and planning to support long-term product success
• Foresee and resolve systemic issues before they affect the product
• Advocate for technical excellence and guide teams toward high-quality engineering practices
• Lead multi-functional coordination with peers and leads to ensure smooth delivery and unified direction
• Mentor and develop engineers, empowering teams and maintaining high morale
• Contribute to hiring processes to grow a high-performance engineering culture
• Partner with Product Owners to align engineering with product objectives and priorities
• Occasionally contribute to hands-on technical work to maintain depth
