Job summary

CapstoneONE Search is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for a flagship aerospace/defense campus in New Jersey. You will lead a 70+ person department and report to the General Manager, owning budget and driving cross-functional initiatives with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain.

You will guide strategic direction for engineering and business roadmaps, develop HI-POT talent with plant staff, and establish KPIs aligned with plant objectives to ensure seamless product launches.

We are representing an industry leading AEROSPACE/DEFENSE organization whose flagship manufacturing campus is actively seeking a senior level Engineering Manager. Reporting to the General Manager, this candidate would assume ownership over an 70+ employee department while working cross functionally with senior leadership. This is a 1,200 employee campus.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Senior Engineering Manager will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for leading a department of 70+ employees while assuming budgetary ownership.
• Drive departmental continuous improvement initiatives inclusive of yield improvement, and process optimization.
• Provide direction and leadership consistent with company and business plan goals.
• Maintain and develop strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors
• Direct and drive the utilization of problem solving methods for related plant and customer issues.
• Work closely with plant staff to development "HI-POT " talent
• Work cross functionally, partnering with different internal departments including Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless execution of launch programs.
• Establish and track KPIs aligned with plant and business objectives
• Provide strategic input into the long-term engineering and business roadmap

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Engineering/Technical degree is required for consideration
