Overview

We are representing a Fortune 500 Aerospace/Defense organization who is actively seeking a Principal Quality Engineer to lead their flagship operation. This candidate will report directly to the VP/General Manager who is looking to begin the interview process ASAP!

Position Overview

• Candidate will report to the General Manager while having a strong dotted line relationship with the Divisional Director of Quality.
• Complete financial/budgetary ownership of department
• Candidate will assume ownership over both the plant quality function while working cross functionally with different departments
• Provide direction and leadership consistent with company and business plan goals.
• Maintain and develop strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors
• Direct and drive the utilization of problem solving methods for related plant and customer issues.
• Responsible for improving process efficiency through best practices, SOPs, and lean manufacturing.
• This is a "working manager position" that would have 1 direct report

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree is required for consideration (preference for technical field)
• Candidate should have strong working knowledge AS9100 quality systems
• Aerospace/Defense experience strong preferred
