Job summary

Upchurch is seeking a senior technical leader to build and lead the Mission Critical Systems Integration (MCSI) engineering organization. You will set division standards for BAS/EPMS/DDC/PLC controls, architect network and software templates, and guide the technical strategy across hyperscale data center programs.

You will hire and mentor Leads, drive QA/QC across programs, and serve as the technical authority for clients while shaping the division’s future.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or 8+ years in controls leadership.
• 10+ years in BAS/EPMS/DDC/PLC with mission-critical experience.
• Experience leading hyperscale data center programs and establishing engineering standards.
• Knowledge of Niagara, PLCs, SCADA, OT security, and IT/OT integration.

Responsibilities

• Engineering leadership & standards: establish and maintain division standards for hardware, density, network architecture, software and documentation formats; own execution model for DDC/Niagara BAS and PLC/SCADA EPMS scopes.
• Project setup & quality: lead first-of-a-kind programs with technical reviews at design and pre-commissioning milestones; hands-on intervention on high-risk projects.
• Team building: hire, assign, and develop the engineering staff; co-own the MCSI Academy curricula and gate trainee readiness.
• Clients & cross-functional: represent Upchurch engineering in hyperscaler capability reviews and vendor-qualification audits; support estimating with technical strategy.
