Job summary

Upchurch is hiring for the Mission Critical Systems Integration division. You will shape engineering standards and lead the build-out of the MCSI organization, delivering BAS/EPMS design, Niagara/PLC execution, OT network architecture, and lifecycle services for hyperscale data centers.

You will stand up technical standards, hire leads, and act as the technical authority for our hyperscaler clients, enabling growth and operational excellence across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or 8+ years hands-on controls leadership; 10+ years BAS/EPMS/DDC/PLC.
• Leadership on large-scale hyperscale data center programs in mission-critical environments.
• Expert knowledge across DDC, Niagara-based systems, PLC platforms (AB/Schneider), SCADA, OT protocols, and liquid cooling.
• Revit/AutoCAD literacy; strong client-facing communication at the engineering leadership level.
• Direct AWS/hyperscaler controls program experience; PE or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Engineering leadership & standards: establish division engineering standards, hardware/panel design, network architecture, software templates, and QA/QC.
• Project setup & quality: lead first-of-a-kind hyperscaler scopes, design reviews, and high-risk project interventions.
• Team building: hire and develop Systems Engineers, SCADA Engineers, OT Network specialists; run the MCSI Academy curricula.
• Clients & cross-functional: represent Upchurch engineering in hyperscaler reviews and support estimating with technical strategy.
