Job summary

Adecco seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a highly automated, technically complex manufacturing operation. This senior role focuses on engineering strategy, automation and controls, capital investments, equipment reliability and continuous improvement across the facility.

The candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team, drive performance improvements and ensure alignment with safety and engineering standards in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in engineering within industrial/manufacturing environments.
• 3+ years in engineering leadership.
• Strong experience with industrial automation and controls.
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA and/or DCS systems.
• Experience leading capital projects and commissioning.
• Ability to lead at organizational and technical levels.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Set priorities and provide technical direction across manufacturing.
• Drive automation, controls, electrical systems, and instrumentation.
• Oversee PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS and network architecture.
• Lead capital projects from concept to startup.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance and Reliability to improve uptime.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Review engineering designs, drawings and documentation.
• Develop long-term manufacturing technology strategy.
• Manage contractors and partners.
• Ensure compliance with engineering and safety standards.
• Build capability through coaching and succession planning.
