Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to shape strategy and lead multiple teams delivering Commercial OnStar products and APIs. You will partner across product, data, infrastructure, security, and Sales to drive measurable outcomes.

You will attract and develop engineering leaders, own roadmaps, and ensure production readiness, observability, and fast iteration in a cloud-native environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field and 12+ years in software engineering.
• 5+ years leading software teams and 30+ engineers across multiple groups.
• Experience delivering cross-functional, large-scale software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define engineering strategy, roadmap, and operating plan for OnStar APIs and related products.
• Lead multiple engineering teams through managers and senior leaders with clear ownership.
• Drive improvements in adoption, retention, revenue, and reliability of services.
• Guide architecture, modernization, and production readiness with strong data-driven decisions.
• Represent engineering in executive discussions and key customer engagements.
