Job summary

Procore Technologies is seeking a senior engineering leader to guide the Aerial team—the processing pipeline that turns thousands of drone images into georeferenced maps and scalable imagery services. You’ll partner with Product to shape the roadmap, own the customer outcome end to end, and drive large, multi-quarter initiatives across web, backend, and cloud systems.

This role demands hands-on leadership, strong AI fluency, and a track record of growing engineers into technical leaders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience and 5+ years leading engineers
• Track record delivering multi-quarter technical programs with clear success metrics
• Proven ability to grow engineers into leaders and expand output
• Hands-on depth across web, backend, and cloud systems; able to read code and assess math/data
• Experience using AI as a primary working partner across coding, prototyping, and analysis
• Ability to ramp quickly into complex, unfamiliar technical domains
• Customer-focused decisions shaping product and UX

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to deliver large, business-critical technical initiatives through to completion; define success by data
• Strengthen the team by focusing on high-impact problems and growing engineers into leaders
• Advance how the team uses AI; organize planning, prototyping, debugging, and shipping in AI-heavy pods
• Own the Aerial customer outcome end to end by partnering with Product on the roadmap
• Stay hands-on with PRs and prototypes; set architectural direction with the principal engineer
• Ensure quality and reliability through metrics and observability so issues surface before customers see them
• Represent Aerial to leadership and customers, including site visits
