Job summary

QXO seeks a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead multiple squads building the Transactions platform for our distribution business. You will partner with business leaders to shape problems, set roadmaps, and own delivery of new integrations and features that remove friction in core processes.

You will guide AI/ML initiatives and empower engineers with domain ownership, maintaining high standards and urgency to land value for customers in weeks rather than quarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years in software engineering with experience leading teams.
• Strong foundation in distributed systems and data consistency.

Responsibilities

• Bring clarity to ambiguous problem domains and drive solutions with business and technical partners.
• Go deep on technical details with your team and translate for business stakeholders.
• Balance new feature delivery with operational priorities across squads.
• Mentor and grow engineers on your team.
• Identify and advance opportunities in AI/ML and emerging tech.
• Implement reliability, observability, performance, and incident management best practices.
