Job summary

Elevance Health seeks a seasoned Engineer Lead Sr. to direct end-to-end development and maintenance of large enterprise platforms.

You will mentor teams, own architecture decisions, and align projects with business goals while collaborating with Web and Marketing teams to enhance web product presence. Flexible hybrid work policy applies; candidates must reside within commuting distance of an Elevance Health location and be ready to work in-office 1-2 days per week.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, plus 9+ years of experience, or equivalent background.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end application development and maintenance on large, enterprise-wide platforms.
• Own design reviews, unit tests, and system testing to ensure quality.
• Coordinate with teams and stakeholders for requirements and delivery timelines.
• Mentor and guide engineers, driving multiple projects and teams to successful outcomes.
• Define architecture and strategic technical direction for major areas of the technology stack.
• Manage on-call support and incident response, overseeing monitoring and release processes.
• Collaborate on API-first design, microservices and distributed systems.
