Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Software Engineering teams focused on SaaS products in a cloud security context. You will guide design, development, testing, and deployment of robust cloud-based software solutions, while driving strategy, people management, and cross-team collaboration.

The role requires extensive software engineering leadership, strategic thinking, and a track record of delivering scalable services across a distributed system landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or computer science, with 12+ years of overall experience, including 2+ years in people management.
• Experience with container orchestration (AWS ECS/EKS), event-driven architectures (Kafka), and high-throughput data stores (MySQL/Redis).
• Proficiency in Python and/or Go, with practical exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP (AWS preferred).
• Experience with modern software development practices, CI/CD and DevOps, and applying AI to improve SDLC productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead fast-paced teams to design, develop and deliver production-grade cloud security SaaS applications.
• Partner with internal and external teams to understand requirements, plan and deliver.
• Develop excellent working relationships and align goals with company objectives.
• Serve as customer advocate and primary POC for select clients.
• Drive complex network-level technical problem solving and solution delivery.
• Set clear expectations and use OKRs with measurable metrics.
• Recognize and reward outstanding team contributions.
• Provide strong technical vision and ensure consistent delivery on objectives.
