Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. seeks a Supervisor, Designing and Drafting to lead a team of engineers in creating and processing engineering drawings, change orders, BOMs, and related documentation. You will ensure quality and consistency while guiding the group toward continuous improvement.

You will oversee resource planning, training, and performance reviews, and collaborate with Production, Product Engineering, and Configuration Management to deliver drawings and revisions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in creation, review, and change management of engineering drawings and documentation.
• Experience leading a drafting group and coordinating with multiple engineering teams.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and knowledge of EPDM data management.

Responsibilities

• Assign drafting resources to projects and resolve group resource conflicts.
• Help define scope of work and work estimates for projects.
• Ensure project progress, resolve technical issues, and escalate when needed.
• Support drawing releases and revisions across groups.
• Maintain group standards and processes for drafting.
• Mentor and train group personnel; perform performance reviews.
