Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Construction & Development seeks a Senior Engineering Director Level 2 to lead the SBMP Unit. You will oversee complete design solutions, mentor staff, and collaborate with agency owners to deliver complex capital projects across the region.

The role requires 14+ years in engineering with 8+ years in leadership, a NYS PE license, and strong communication skills; telework is available one day per week.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in the appropriate Engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Communications, Track, Signals, Environmental, Fire Protection).
Master's degree preferred.
NYS Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required; extensive experience in large-scale projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of engineers in concept design, modification, analysis, and construction of MTA C&D projects.
Meet with internal departments and Agency owners on goals and timelines.
Ensure plans are in place, progress is monitored, and issues are tracked and closed.
