Job summary

Designs for Health in Henderson, Nevada, seeks a Manager of Engineering & Continuous Improvement to lead site engineering, the capital-project portfolio, automation, and Operational Excellence across DFH's manufacturing operations. The role partners with the Plant Director and spans site leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and development of Lean capabilities.

The position emphasizes safety, quality, and cost optimization with travel between Nevada facilities and periodic coordination

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related technical field required.
• Progressive experience in manufacturing engineering, continuous improvement, capital projects, automation, or plant operations.
• Hands-on Lean, value-stream mapping, root-cause analysis, and structured problem-solving tools experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing capital-project portfolios with budgets and schedules.
• Knowledge of GMP, safety, quality, environmental, and engineering requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead site-level engineering and continuous improvement priorities with Plant Director and Operations.
• Oversee capital-project portfolio, including prioritization, business justification, and budget/schedule management.
• Standardize project-management processes, tools, reporting, and Operational Excellence strategies across sites.
• Apply Lean, value-stream mapping, and root-cause analysis to identify constraints and sustain gains.
• Develop and deliver training in Lean fundamentals, problem solving, and daily performance management.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives across Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Technical Services to drive margin improvements.
