Job summary

Entergy in New Orleans, LA, seeks an Engineering Assoc-I-Sr (Trans) to support procurement and material management for Substations, Transmission Lines and System Protection. You will collaborate with Design, Standards, AM, Grids, Project Management, Construction and Supply Chain to ensure timely ordering and receipt of materials.

Responsibilities include creating stock codes, validating supplier information, tracking requisitions and accruals, and resolving vendor issues.

Qualifications

• Supply chain, warehousing, or procurement experience required.
• Degrees in Business, Accounting, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Specify and order materials; coordinate with suppliers to ensure correct items arrive on time.
• Create and maintain stock codes; develop material descriptions from Maximo and Entergy lists.
• Validate manufacturers and ensure compliance with standards.
• Verify manufacturer and supplier information; maintain lists of approved vendors and parts.
• Track material requisitions, purchase orders, and status; provide disposition reports.
• Help prepare monthly accruals; meet with vendors to resolve material issues.
