Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Supervisor - Central Procurement in Hammond, LA, hybrid workplace. You will lead a procurement team, manage sourcing, bidding, and purchase order activities to meet material demand while upholding Entergy policies and values.

You'll partner with Supply Chain, Finance, and stakeholder teams to deliver high-value sourcing outcomes and ensure compliance with safety, diversity, and local spend objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline; supply chain preferred.
• 3 years of experience in materials/warehousing, purchasing, contracts or project management.
• MS/MBA preferred and professional procurement certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain fundamentals and interfacing departments' processes.
• Ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Safety/Human Performance: promote safety, monitor supplier safety concerns and enforce standards.
• Provide high-quality materials support; manage purchasing documents and align priorities.
• Assist in budget development and manage departmental functions within budget.
• Set departmental objectives in line with Supply Chain goals and stakeholder expectations.
• Drive continuous improvement and process optimization in procurement activities.
• Control inventories to meet schedules while avoiding excess/obsolete stock.
• Prepare data analyses and deliver reports to management; present to leaders.
• Maintain senior-management communication to align fleet and corporate goals.
• Ensure ethics and policy compliance across procurement functions.
• Establish cross-functional partnerships and multi-year demand plans.
• Lead 5–10 direct reports; mentor staff and drive talent development.
• Operate with high ethical standards and support supplier diversity.
