Job Description

As a Senior Engineer, you will leverage your skills and insights as part of teams across the South Central Region and the United States.

Your responsibilities include delivering public sector water and wastewater facilities planning and design projects. You will plan, develop, coordinate, and manage at least one large project or several smaller projects simultaneously. Your tasks will involve preparing facility assessment and design reports, performing design calculations, conducting process and hydraulic modeling, selecting and sizing equipment, preparing design and construction documents, and supporting construction phase services both in-office and in the field. Occasional travel for field work and site visits may be required. You will also support and mentor engineers, with guidance from senior mentors and regional leadership.

Qualifications and Skills
Required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Multiple years of post-PE licensure project management and design experience in water/wastewater facilities
  • Experience delivering water and/or wastewater projects from preliminary design through construction
  • Proven ability to manage multiple successful project teams, ensuring high-quality results within schedule and budget constraints
  • Supervisory experience, including mentoring and reviewing staff work
  • Ability to estimate workload, develop schedules, and communicate effectively with clients
  • Experience supporting proposal development and participating in interviews
  • Active participation in professional societies and conferences
  • Proficiency in software platforms such as Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience managing projects with fees of $2M or more
  • Contract negotiation experience
  • Staff recruitment experience
  • Participation in professional society leadership roles
  • Familiarity with CADD, GIS, Revit, or similar software
Education
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical)
  • Texas PE license or license in another state with the ability to obtain Texas PE within 12 months
  • Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management is a plus
