An established industry player is seeking a Water/Wastewater Process Engineer to join their dynamic team in Texas. As a Water/Wastewater Process Engineer at Walker Partners, you will work alongside our experienced engineering and construction management teams and play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of municipal water and wastewater treatment facility projects.
This is a great opportunity for a licensed P.E. looking to deepen their impact in the water/wastewater field while gaining leadership experience in a supportive and growth-oriented environment. From conceptual design and coordination, to assisting with the bidding process and supporting construction management- you’ll be involved in delivering projects from cradle to grave!
Responsibilities
» Lead and/or support civil engineering efforts – including planning, design, and permitting – across a diverse portfolio of water and wastewater projects
» Work side-by-side with project managers, engineers, and cross-disciplined teams to tackle complex challenges and to bring our clients’ infrastructure goals to life
» Collaborate with project managers to develop scopes of work, schedules, and budgets
» Prepare technical reports, construction plans, and specifications
» Mentor and lead EITs and junior engineering staff
Preferred Qualifications
»Master of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Minimum Qualifications
» Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (from ABET Accredited Civil Engineering Program)
» Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
» 5-7 years of experience in the planning and design ofwater/wastewater systems
» Working knowledge of design standards and permitting requirements in Texas
Skills Desired
» The technical acumen to design and to lead a design team to prepare the drawings and specifications for water and wastewater treatment facilities
» A working knowledge of permitting treatment facilities in the State of Texas
» Excellent communication skills
» Excellent coaching and mentoring abilities
