Job summary

NAVFAC at the Washington Navy Yard seeks a Chief Engineer and Senior Technical Authority to provide independent technical leadership for the Shore Infrastructure portfolio. The role oversees an $11B+ annual program, including MILCON and SRM, delivering rapid capability to the Fleet with final engineering authority and strategic input.

Qualifications

• Mastery of advances engineering principles and portfolio management for military construction and facilities engineering.
• Proven ability to provide authoritative technical counsel on multi‑billion-dollar infrastructure programs and manage risks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as national technical authority on engineering for DON/DoW shore infrastructure.
• Advise PAE on all shore infrastructure engineering matters.
• Develop and recommend technical strategies for the Navy infrastructure portfolio.
• Evaluate trade-offs among cost, schedule, and performance to guide decisions.
• Inform programmatic and resource choices to accelerate capability delivery to the Fleet.
