Job summary

NAVFAC is seeking a Supervisory General Engineer/Architect in the PROJECT MANAGEMENT & ENGINEERING (RCN2) within NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC. The role leads design staff and oversees design and project management from concept to closeout, ensuring records and software tools are maintained, including ieFACMAN (eProjects).

The position requires licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect (RA) and demonstrated experience in project management, design leadership, and coordination

Qualifications

• SPF requires licensed PE for 0801 series or RA for 0808 series; license/registration must be current.
• Professional engineering degree or EI/EIT/licensure evidence acceptable.
• FE exam or equivalent licensure requirements or 60 semester hours in engineering/physics required.
• Possible education substitutions listed for engineering/architecture.
• Experience: 1+ year at GS-13 level or equivalent in project/design management and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide project and design management leadership and mentoring.
• Plan and lead meetings for project execution.
• Collaborate with disciplines to review execution plans within funds and scope.
• Provide consultative services on project management involving facilities construction.
• Guide facilities acquisition, funding levels, contract requirements, documents, bidding procedures.
