Job summary

NOVA Engineering and Environmental LLC in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking a Senior Engineer to provide technical oversight on commercial, institutional, industrial, and residential projects. You will review structural plans, seal documents, and support CMT and Special Inspections.

The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida with 8+ years of experience, strong knowledge of Florida Building Code, and proven ability to mentor junior staff and manage multiple projects while

Qualifications

PE license in Florida is required.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering experience.
Experience reviewing structural plans and interfacing with clients.

Responsibilities

Perform engineering reviews and provide technical oversight for construction projects.
Review structural plans and engineering documents for compliance with building codes.
Sign and seal engineering documents as required.
Provide technical support for Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and Special Inspections.
Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, municipalities, and internal engineering teams.
Mentor junior engineers and staff.
Participate in business development efforts by maintaining client relationships and identifying opportunities for additional engineering services.
