Job summary

BryceTech is seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer/Scientist to provide senior technical advisory support to the Air Force Research Laboratory under the JUPITER program. You will evaluate technologies, conduct trade studies, and guide research priorities at the highest levels of government.

The role covers space systems, information/spectrum warfare, and related advanced technologies, with responsibilities spanning strategy, portfolio reviews, and cross-organizational collaboration

Qualifications

  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI).
  • Doctoral degree in engineering or science with extensive relevant experience (or MS with 14+ years, or BS with 20+ years).
  • Demonstrated experience with space or information/spectrum warfare systems and/or technologies.
  • Demonstrated professional standing and recognized expertise within the applicable technical community.
  • Ability to provide independent technical advice, analysis, and recommendations to senior government leadership.
  • Experience supporting advanced R&D, technology planning, technology assessment, or related technical activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level scientific, engineering, and technical advisory support to AFRL leadership.
  • Conduct strategic technology planning and recommendations for current and future investments.
  • Evaluate status, merit, feasibility, and impact of technology programs.
  • Perform technical studies, analyses, and trade studies.
  • Conduct systems engineering analyses and architecture assessments for advanced programs.
  • Deliver independent technical assessments and recommendations for development, maturation, transition, and implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to address future warfighter capability requirements.
  • Support technology portfolio reviews and program redirection or new program creation.
  • Analyze development strategies and transition pathways; present findings to executives.
