Job summary

United Airlines in Chicago seeks a Senior Engineer for Responsible AI within Cybersecurity and Digital Risk to implement secure AI infrastructure and integrate tools across the business. You will work with Digital Technology, UA business teams, and other Cybersecurity partners to ensure AI systems are secure by design and compliant with regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, with preference for STEM, Cybersecurity, Computer science.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Strong understanding of artificial intelligence in large enterprises.
• Knowledge of AWS Bedrock, Anthropic, OpenAI, Agent365, Microsoft Copilot Studio, or other generative AI tools.
• Ability to navigate complex system architecture across multiple development teams.
• Understanding of cybersecurity policy and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Implement security infrastructure and integrations to enable Cybersecurity and business partner needs.
• Ensure security by design and launch new tools for automating compliance.
• Maintain responsible AI systems and external software to protect customer data and reduce risk.
• Collaborate with Digital Technology and business teams across the lifecycle.
• Provide guidance on cybersecurity capabilities in enterprise systems.
• Produce compliance reports and identify gaps with data protection regulations.
• Coordinate with development teams for deployment and maintenance.
