Senior Engineer, Quality Assurance (India) - SDET

Our Code and Theory quality assurance team ensures the quality of our first-class web experiences and custom products that delight our clients and their customers. Working in collaboration with our engineering, design, and product teams, you will break and test software that solves real-world problems.

Our Senior QA Engineers are determined to refine our code and testing practices to enhance customer experiences and drive business growth.

You are a passionate advocate for software quality, understanding its role in society and its value to our clients. You have a deep understanding of how to achieve high-performance, secure, compliant, usable, and accessible experiences for diverse audiences. You possess outstanding quality assurance skills and a solid understanding of contemporary tools and methodologies.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Perform hands-on quality assurance testing of user-focused web and responsive web applications, as well as backend systems and infrastructure; advocating for clean code, testing, process refinements, and continuous improvements
• Collaborate with engineers to plan, develop, and maintain robust testing strategies, including manual and automation testing
• Define and communicate web test strategies to provide qualitative and quantitative status/defect reports in a timely manner
• Conduct feature-based requirements gathering, test execution, regression testing, and functional system testing
• Contribute to release cycles by participating in scope planning, test effort estimation, and release sign-off
• Complete assigned tasks within project constraints and timelines
• Cultivate a collaborative environment and a culture of technical ownership

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manual and automation QA testing for responsive web, mobile, and custom applications
• Strong skills in test scenario and case development, testing methodologies, planning, and executing stories in an agile environment
• Experience designing creative and effective test cases, with strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
• Passion for web and mobile accessibility and security, with knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA+ standards
• Hands-on experience with project management tools like JIRA and Confluence for defect logging, test planning, and reporting
• Proficiency with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Katalon, and Robot Framework
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, PHP Unit, JUnit), load testing tools (JMeter, Blazemeter, ab, siege), API testing tools (Postman), and CI tools (Jenkins, CircleCI, Travis, GitHub Actions)
• Awareness of modern optimization and performance techniques, including memory usage and code optimization
• Curiosity about technology trends and ability to act as a product evangelist
• Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and commitment to quality
• Self-motivation and team focus on excellence
