Job summary

The Division of Water within the State of Delaware seeks an Engineer Program Manager II to provide senior leadership for wastewater, stormwater, biosolids, and water supply programs and to supervise licensed engineers and technical staff. The role involves directing complex permitting, infrastructure design review, and regulatory compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Valid professional engineering license issued by Delaware or another qualified authority.
• Three years experience as a project engineer managing engineering programs and projects.
• One year of staff supervision including planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of others.

Responsibilities

• Drafts, develops and modifies engineering designs, plans and specifications.
• Reviews permit applications, blueprints and designs for compliance with specifications and regulations.
• Applies the principles and theories of science and mathematics to research and develop solutions to technical problems.
• Plans and conducts field studies, surveys, research and development projects to collect data and ensure conformance to laws.
• Provides technical guidance and training to technical staff.
