Job summary

Danfoss Climate Solutions is seeking a Senior Engineer, Platform Engineering to shape and evolve our Kubernetes-based platform used by engineering teams across the segment. You will enable faster development with secure, scalable self-service capabilities.

You will collaborate with development and cloud specialists to design robust CI/CD, GitOps workflows, and cloud-native tooling on Azure and GCP, driving reliability, automation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Kubernetes experience across Azure AKS and/or Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Knowledge of GitOps principles, ArgoCD, and CI/CD workflows in modern cloud-native environments.
• Experience with GitHub and automation tools like GitHub Actions or equivalents.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in an agile environment.
• Good communication and collaboration across technical teams and stakeholders.
• Experience with Backstage, Terraform, Helm; SRE practices are a plus.

As our Senior Engineer, Platform Engineering, you’ll play a key role in shaping and evolving the Kubernetes-based platform used by engineering teams across Danfoss Climate Solutions. Working closely with development teams and cloud specialists, you’ll combine strong hands‑on engineering skills with a continuous improvement mindset, helping us create a platform that accelerates innovation while supporting the development of smarter and more sustainable climate solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, develop and maintain our Kubernetes-based platform across Azure and GCP, ensuring scalability, security and reliability
• Build and improve GitOps workflows using ArgoCD and GitHub to enable efficient CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Develop self-service platform capabilities that simplify application deployment and improve the overall developer experience
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand their needs, solve platform challenges and translate requirements into scalable solutions
• Monitor and continuously improve platform performance, reliability and operational efficiency through automation and proactive problem‑solving
• Promote platform adoption through technical guidance, documentation and knowledge sharing across engineering teams

What We're Looking For

• Strong hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, ideally across Azure AKS and/or Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Solid knowledge of GitOps principles, ArgoCD and CI/CD workflows in modern cloud‑native environments
• Experience with GitHub and collaborative development practices, including GitHub Actions or similar automation tools
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a quality‑focused mindset, with the ability to work independently within an agile engineering environment
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical teams and different stakeholders
• Experience with Backstage, Terraform, Helm, platform engineering or SRE practices is considered an advantage
