Job summary

Hudbay is seeking a Senior Manager Operational Readiness & Metallurgy to drive readiness across mine site systems, schedules, and integrations. The role emphasizes coordinating cross-functional teams, implementing CMMS/PCS, and mitigating risks to ensure a smooth start of full-scale operations.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of six years in mining, with strong organizational and communication skills to manage complex multi-disciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, chemical, metallurgical, mining engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of work experience in the mining industry, preferably milling.
• Experience with CMMS, PCS, SAP and document control systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and track KPIs and readiness dashboards for stakeholders.
• Monitor progress of the Operational Readiness Execution Plan against baseline schedule.
• Identify risks and opportunities within the plan and schedule.
• Support readiness of mine site systems (CMMS, PCS, IOC).
• Assist in completing readiness prior to Operations and during Ramp-Up and Handover.
• Ensure integration of existing and new systems to prevent data loss and inefficiencies.
• Foster integration across work groups for an aligned operating model.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
