Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks a Principal Engineer to provide SME support to a critical Naval Sea Systems Command organization.

You will assist in the development, testing, and fielding of shipboard HPM weapon systems and keep leadership updated on the latest developments. You will primarily work from the DC or Dahlgren, VA area, collaborating with government personnel and S&T communities to analyze applicability of HPM research for DE weapon missions and to support current

Qualifications

• Master of Science in engineering, science, or technical discipline.
• 15 years designing, integrating, and testing HPM or pulsed power systems.
• Experience with HPM weapon effects or EMI analysis.
• 10 years directing engineering activities on support contracts.
• 10 years in RF sensors, HPM, imaging, and modeling/simulation.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME support to Naval Sea Systems Command.
• Support senior government personnel in development, testing, and fielding of shipboard HPM weapon systems.
• Keep program leadership current with latest developments relevant to Navy HPM programs.
