Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking a senior Mechanical Engineer to support a critical Naval Sea Systems Command program.

You will oversee fabrication, operation, installation, and repair of mechanical components and integrate HPM or pulsed power systems into land, air, or shipboard platforms. This role is based primarily in the DC area or Dahlgren, VA, with on-site work and close collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering, science, or technical discipline.
• 10 years of design, development, and testing of mechanical components for high-voltage RF transmitter systems.
• 5 years of integration of HPM or pulsed power systems into land/air/shipboard applications.
• Experience with fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical components and systems.
• DoD TS/SCI clearance with eligibility and ability to maintain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time senior Mechanical Engineer support to a Naval Sea Systems Command program.
• Lead fabrication, operation, installation, and repair of mechanical components and systems; integrate HPM/pulsed power into platforms.
