Job summary

The Senior Engineer is a full-performance professional in the City of Lone Tree Public Works & Mobility Department. Reporting to the City Engineer, the position independently performs and leads complex municipal infrastructure, stormwater and capital-improvement projects.

The role mentors engineers, reviews designs, coordinates consultants and contractors, and represents the City in technical meetings. A PE license in Colorado is required or obtainable; primary focus may be stormwater,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible professional engineering experience.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Colorado or ability to obtain within required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-performance professional engineering work on large, complex municipal projects.
• Lead consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor engineers and technical staff; provide senior technical review and QA.
• Develop and update engineering standards, criteria, and procedures.
• Represent the City in technical meetings with partner agencies and stakeholders.
