Job summary

Flagship Pioneering seeks a hands-on Lead Engineer to own code and automation for our Microsoft 365 and Entra ID environment. You will manage a shared tenant supporting portfolio companies, extending code as identities evolve, and serving as a senior escalation point for automation issues.

You will work across Graph, PowerShell, and REST APIs, ensuring least-privilege access, proper lifecycle management, and strong documentation while mentoring peers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Microsoft 365 and Entra ID engineering.
• Advanced PowerShell with Graph SDK and Exchange Online.
• Experience inheriting, troubleshooting, refactoring, and supporting existing production codebases.
• Hands-on Entra identity lifecycle management, groups and licensing, app registrations, service principals, Conditional Access, PIM, B2B, SSO, SCIM provisioning.
• Experience automating Exchange Online administration and SharePoint Online administration or automation.
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and extend production automation using Graph, PowerShell, and supported APIs.
• Engineer secure and reliable automation with proper authentication, monitoring, and logging.
• Maintain Exchange Online and SharePoint Online automation for mailboxes, groups, permissions, and site provisioning.
• Maintain joiner/mover/leaver processes across Flagship and its portfolio companies.
• Engineer and support Entra capabilities including CA, PIM, B2B, SSO, and SCIM provisioning.
• Build and maintain integrations among HR, ITSM, identity, and collaboration systems.
• Apply strong engineering practices through Git, testing, CI/CD, and runbooks.
