Job summary

Stryker PV in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Engineer, Continuous Improvement responsible for evaluating and improving value streams, designing lean systems, and leading cross‑functional teams to sustain top production performance.

You will lead value stream mapping workshops, kaizen events, and monitor lean metrics while partnering with Finance to quantify cost reductions and supporting NPI and ramp plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in Medical Device or highly regulated industry.
• Lean manufacturing certification (preferred).
• Ability to identify waste and drive improvement (preferred).
• Shingijutsu methodology experience or similar (highly preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead value stream mapping workshops and kaizen events.
• Oversee future state implementation.
• Monitor lean metrics (lead time, changeover time, inventory levels).
• Evaluate and implement process and flow improvements to boost productivity and quality.
• Partner with Finance to quantify CI cost reductions.
• Personally execute improvements.
• Coach others in Lean concepts.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Identify root causes and evaluate potential solutions.
• Follow company standards for process development, quality and safety.
• Support New Product Introduction and ramp-up plans.
• Contribute to infrastructure configuration for optimal efficiencies.
