Job summary

Amgen seeks a Senior Engineer in Modeling and Simulation to develop and manage in-silico models for drug delivery devices. The role focuses on creating robust FEM models, addressing complex material and design challenges, and enabling faster decision making across teams.

The candidate will own model backlogs, communicate assumptions clearly, and mentor other simulation experts while collaborating with diverse engineering and scientific teams.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree preferred in engineering or a related field.
• Master’s degree with 2+ years of Engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of Engineering experience.
• Associate’s degree with 8+ years of Engineering experience.
• High school diploma with 10 years of Engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement explicit and implicit FEM structural models with efficient representation.
• Apply kinematic, structural and tolerance analysis to create in-silico models.
• Improve model lifecycle management and methods across workstreams.
• Explore new in-silico and data-driven models to aid decisions quickly.
• Simulate complaints and real-world issues to identify root causes.
• Provide leadership in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
• Own modeling scope, communicate limitations, and mentor peers.
