Amgen is seeking a Senior Engineer in Modeling and Simulation to develop and validate finite element models and in-silico simulations for drug delivery devices. You will apply physics-based and empirical methods to produce robust models that inform design decisions and manufacturing processes.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD or Master’s with engineering experience and have strong Python/MATLAB scripting capabilities, plus experience with SIMULIA, ANSYS or similar platforms.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent with engineering focus or 2+ years of advanced engineering experience for MS
• Bachelor’s or higher with multiple years in engineering and modeling
• Strong background in in-silico modeling and simulation methods (FEM, material modelling)

Responsabilités

• Develop explicit/implicit FEM structural models and validate against physical data.
• Create robust in-silico models for drug delivery devices and processes.
• Improve model lifecycles and ensure trustworthiness of simulations.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration and mentor other simulation experts.
• Communicate modelling scope, limitations and assumptions clearly.
