Job summary

Entegris, Inc. is seeking a Lead Scientist for Modeling & Simulation to perform multiphysics simulations (CFD/FEA), interpret results, and deploy validated models for R&D users through AI-enabled tools and SOPs. You will train researchers, work with Core M&S teams, and translate complex challenges into executable modeling requests.

The role requires a master's in a relevant field, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency with ANSYS/ABAQUS/COMSOL/OpenFOAM, CAD tools, and HPC.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mechanical, chemical, aerospace engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, engineering design and numerical modeling.
• 3+ years using commercial simulation software (ANSYS/Abaqus/COMSOL) or OpenFOAM.
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks/Creo) and geometry prep for simulation.
• Experience with HPC clusters and scaling simulations in cloud environments.
• Experience translating R&D needs into clearly defined modeling requirements and getting validation data.
• Experience deploying models/workflows and training technical users.

Responsibilities

• Perform simulations and apply established models to multiphysics problems (CFD/FEA).
• Analyze and interpret simulation results; validate against empirical data.
• Deploy models and workflows for researchers via AI-enabled tools and SOPs.
• Train users and provide first-line support for modeling tasks.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to translate challenges into actionable modeling requests.
• Develop AI-enabled tools to support scientific workflows.
• Capture unmet needs and feedback to improve models and tools.
