Job summary

Sallie Mae is seeking a Senior Engineer II in Technology Operations to oversee planning, implementation, and management of the company’s technology systems. You will develop and execute a comprehensive technology operations strategy, ensuring high availability, security, and scalable infrastructure aligned with business goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Five years of experience in a Senior Software Engineer or related role with Workday integrations.
  • Experience with Workday Studio and integration technologies.
  • Experience with Web Services, XML, XSLT, SOAP, and Java.

For students, for future generations, for the future of education.EXTERNAL WEBSITE POSTINGEmployer: SMB IT, Inc.Job Title: Senior Engineer II, Technology OperationsJob Location: 300 Continental Drive, Newark, DE 19713Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through FridayDuties:Responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of various systems within the company.Develop and execute a comprehensive technology operations strategy aligned with the organization's goals, ensuring the effective and efficient use of technology resources.Manage and maintain the organization's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and data centers, to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.Identify, evaluate, and implement appropriate technology systems and solutions to support the organization's operations, improving efficiency, productivity, and user experience.Collaborate with finance and executive teams to develop and manage the technology operations budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources while meeting business requirements.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including executive leadership, project managers, and business units, to understand technology needs, align priorities, and deliver solutions that support organizational objectives.Remote Work Permitted.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Workday Integration Consultant, Software Developer, or related role where required experience was gained.
