Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Chandler, AZ, is seeking an experienced engineer to develop and support evaluation PCBs for PCIe and USB products and to drive driver support across Linux, Windows, RTOS, and MacOS.

You will collaborate with Design, Product, and Marketing teams to identify new applications and create technical collateral, training, and workshops for customers and field engineers. A strong foundation in C/C++, Python, and embedded software is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• Experience with PCIe and Ethernet high-speed signaling
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python and shell scripting
• Strong written communication and engineering documentation
• Basic Linux development and embedded software understanding

Responsibilities

• Develop and support evaluation platform PCBs for PCIe and USB products
• Support Linux, Windows and RTOS drivers for USB/PCIe to Ethernet bridges and PCIe switch products
• Plan and coordinate development and maintenance for Windows, Linux, RTOS and MacOS drivers
• Create collateral such as application notes, data sheets, reference designs, and other development materials
• Deliver technical training and workshops to customers, sales and field engineers
• Provide direct technical support to sales, field application engineers, and key customers
• Collaborate with Design, Product/Test and Marketing teams; identify new applications and market spaces
