American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) is seeking a Senior Engineer I to lead engineering staff, plan and supervise reviews, and ensure high-quality service and client relations. The role involves applying broad engineering knowledge across related disciplines and coordinating cross-functional activities.

The candidate will participate in rule development and provide guidance on rule applications, with strong emphasis on communication in English and mentoring of junior engineers.

Qualificações

• BS degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, or related disciplines; MS preferred.
• Graduate from University and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
• Demonstrated computer literacy in engineering software; exposure to Finite Element Method; professional or chartered engineer license.

Responsabilidades

• Provides day-to-day leadership of Engineering staff. Assigns projects to Engineers and monitors progress.
• Devises new approaches to problems and recommends changes in methods or design.
• Monitors technical quality, content, and timeliness of all assigned projects.
• Applies advanced engineering knowledge and reviews work to guide others.
