Qualifications

• Master’s/PhD or equivalent professional experience in engineering, data science, biomechanics, or a related technical field.
• Experience working with human performance, biomechanics, sports science, biomedical, or other complex scientific data.
• Hands-on experience with motion capture, force plates, or other biomechanical measurement systems.
• Experience with statistical analysis, data modeling, and/or machine learning.
• Strong data visualization and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute human performance data collection, working with motion capture, force plates, wearable technologies, and other measurement systems
• Develop end-to-end data workflows, including data acquisition, processing, visualization, and analysis of complex biomechanical and human performance datasets
• Develop models, algorithms, and performance metrics using statistical analysis, time-series methods, and machine learning where appropriate
• Troubleshoot and solve technical problems across hardware, software, data, and analytical workflows, and build tools that improve the efficiency and reliability of research processes
• Collaborate across disciplines with engineers, data scientists, and performance practitioners to translate complex research and performance questions into practical technical solutions
