Job summary
Exelon in Illinois seeks a Senior Engineer to provide technical leadership in planning, design and execution of electric and gas infrastructure projects. You will mentor junior engineers and ensure safety, reliability and compliance.
Responsibilities include leading engineering analyses, grid modernization efforts, managing budgets and schedules, and coordinating across teams. Some extended hours may be required during storms.
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering or PE license required.
- Ability to analyze complex electrical systems.
- Knowledge of standards, codes, methods, and practices.
- Experience with utility infrastructure and storm response.
Responsibilities
- Lead advanced engineering analyses and outage investigations.
- Develop and implement grid modernization strategies.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and resources for major projects.
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Conduct field inspections and resolve high-impact issues.
- Support storms or emergencies with extended hours if needed.
