North Carolina Advanced Energy Corporation provides independent engineering services for utility-scale renewable energy resources connected to transmission and distribution grids. We seek candidates with an engineering background and experience in inverter-based resources, transmission or distribution systems, to join an internal team delivering consulting and commissioning for grid integration.

This exempt full-time role can be hybrid based in Raleigh or remote, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant technical field and 8+ years of engineering experience in inverter based resources, generator interconnection, transmission or distribution systems.
• PE and other certifications (e.g., CEM, NABCEP) highly preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication, problem solving and ability to work in teams or independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct facility reviews and site assessments for performance and standards.
• Provide engineering analysis, reports and documentation for clients.
• Support commissioning and integration of inverter based resources into the grid.
• Coordinate with utility clients, developers and subcontractors.
• Develop and mentor junior staff and contribute to project management.
