Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to define and lead the engineering approach for complex features in Global Markets Post Trade Technology. You will drive the design and implementation of tokenization, blockchain, and distributed ledger initiatives to support modernization and scalable settlement.

The role requires deep technical expertise in JVM languages, cloud-native architectures, and secure software practices, with collaboration across risk, architecture, and operations

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise-scale environments.
• 5+ years of experience with blockchain, digital asset or distributed ledger technologies.
• Hands-on experience with tokenization platforms, digital assets, and smart contract development.
• Strong understanding of stablecoins, digital payments, and emerging settlement mechanisms.
• Deep knowledge of blockchain frameworks such as Hyperledger Fabric, Ethereum, Corda, Quorum, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that the design and engineering approach for complex features are consistent with the larger portfolio solution.
• Define the technology tool stack for the solution and evaluate and adapt new testing tool/framework/practices for team(s).
• Enables CI/CD capabilities and engages with stakeholders for CI-CD pipeline efficiency.
• Guides on design and best practices for high code performance (pairing, code reviews).
• Provides end-to-end delivery of complex features for one or multiple teams at the program level.
• Lead the architecture, design, and development of blockchain and distributed ledger solutions for post-trade technology.
• Evaluate and implement tokenization frameworks and digital asset processing capabilities.
• Develop solutions supporting stablecoin-based settlement and future-state processing models.
• Partner with business, architecture, risk, and operations to define tech roadmaps.
• Drive modernization initiatives to reduce legacy reliance and improve scalability.
