Job summary

NYC Citywide Administrative Services seeks a Senior Energy Specialist within DEM to lead energy efficiency projects and support citywide energy master planning. The role requires coordinating with agency partners, managing data, and guiding project delivery to reduce emissions and energy use.

The position emphasizes technical analysis, training, and collaboration across DEM programs, with a focus on impactful energy conservation initiatives and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in architecture, energy management, engineering or related field.
• Two years of experience in energy efficiency for buildings or related fields.
• Experience with energy audits, calculations, and data analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee energy efficiency project development and review EERs, energy master plans, and electrification feasibility studies.
• Support portfolio planning for city agencies and define objectives and trajectories.
• Build training and knowledge management within the API and contribute to process improvements.
• Oversee technical calculations, review funding applications, and use energy models and calculators.
