Job summary

Ecosystem in New York is seeking a Project Development Engineer to shape energy infrastructure projects from concept to contract. You’ll translate client needs into technically sound solutions, lead site assessments, and drive energy efficiency and asset renewal.

With 5+ years in buildings/energy efficiency and a mechanical engineering degree, you’ll collaborate with development and client teams, present clear proposals, and help deliver measurable energy savings.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of direct relevant experience in buildings and energy efficiency, construction-type projects.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Professional Engineering License highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Create tailored client solutions with the acquisition team to address root needs.
  • Lead kickoff meetings to understand full context and propose solutions.
  • Conduct site assessments including walk-throughs and system evaluations (HVAC, electrical, controls).
  • Develop technical concepts and project proposals for energy retrofits and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear presentations for stakeholders.
  • Guide projects from early-stage concept to contract, accountable for technical insights.
